Valentines Blog Hop - prizes galore

I'm doing the Valentines Day Blog Hop which has recruited over 230 fabulous authors, over 30 of which also write m/m. Each author does their own give-away and there are some great prizes so if you have a little time, bounce on over to the Events page and start hopping. :)

Valentines Day Blog Hop Events Page

Of course I'm doing my own hop here - so if you leave your name and email address (and maybe a little message would be nice too) I'll be doing a draw for one copy of Theme of Hearts and one copy of Love & Patience, both of which are my Valentines shorts. If you have a preference, you can leave that in your comment too. :)

As for Valentines Day itself, I'm not much of a romantic person in real life but that is one of my favourite aspects of writing and usually reading, as well. It's no secret that I'm an emotional person so that aspect of romance and love is something that makes my heart ache and my eyes tear up - in a good way. I think the best Valentines' Days I had were best for me when my kids were small, when I spoiled them rotten even more than I do now - cards, chocolate and always some kind of gift like a game or My Little Pony or Transformer. That's the kind of love that is so important in my life - my kids' love.

Though I'm not a romantic person in my real life, I'm definitely a romantic at heart, and I can totally get hooked on love songs and ballads. Music in itself is an emotional thing and when the music and the words inspire me to write, that's all the better. This is a great love song by Staind, one of my faves, complete with lyrics. Enjoy.

My birthday is this weekend (groans) so I'm assuming we'll go out for dinner - sushi, of course - but other than that I expect it to be uneventful. Baby boy had a gig last night so that was a lot of fun, though I'm getting way too old for these shows that don't start until after 10pm - yawns. I'l stop rambling now - you and your peeps have a great weekend and remember to hop!

(The hop runs from February 11 - 14 and each author will draw their own winner so make sure to leave your name on as many hops as possible for the best chance to win - AND don't forget to leave your comment here, as well - I'll even give you an extra entry if you follow my blog :D)

(PS if you're interested in Theme of Hearts, you can read my other story with Gage and Rylan for free here --> Outfoxed)

  2. Oh gosh. I love staind a lot. Great song.
Happy birthday in advance dearie. I too am not romantic in actions (ask my exes, they'll confirm it. Lol), but I believe I'm a romantic at heart too. Good music makes me cry too and I can be really sappy about love songs, although my Val's day will probably be blah. Lol.
See, we have so much in common. Lol.

  8. Hi there and Happy early birthday - I know you are not excited about it but I've come to believe celebrating is even more important as you get older as you can appreciate the journey even more - the good, bad and in between!
I have Love & Patience to read (been going through JP Barnaby's Little Boy Lost series!), haven't gotten the prequel one yet though but I'm looking forward to it!

Congrats on your releases this week and take care!

  20. I was on Gabrielle Evans blog, and saw your avatar, and just had to check you out.
I like reading what others say on another's blog, but like a book cover, the little avatar's they use tend to draw my eye first. I also am drawn in by pics on the blogs. I have to say I like what I've seen, and read so far.
I haven't read any of your stories, but I would like to check them out.
With all the hopping around I've done lately, I've found people with a lot of similarities to myself. I'm a cat lover...some have cat avatars. My name is Kat...some have the same, or a similar name. Also I've been about to make a comment, and someone else has beat me to it...word for word. I hope that means their are people out there that have a lot in common with me. It sure has been fun.
Happy Birthday, and I hope you have a lot of success with your writing.
    Kat!
The exclamation point differentiates me from other Kats.

  22. Hi, I'm also not a Valentine Day huge fan and all over-the top emotions turn me off in the books also. I like friends-to-lovers theme and it's one of the reason I loved Outfoxed. I'd love to read more about the Glitter Fox.

  31. Hello K-Lee & Happy Birthday, I hope you had a wonderful time on your very special day.

Thank you for taking part in Drea Becraft's Valentine's Day Blog Hop & being among the 33 M/M Authors for those of us Fans of the M/M Genres.

You are right, what a great love song by Staind, perfect for Loved Shared on Valentine's Day & throughout the year, thank you for sharing the song & video trailor.

I would very much appreciate if I could be considered for your Valentine’s Short, “Theme of Hearts (Glitter Fox .5)” Prequel to “Outfoxed (Glitter Fox 1)”. Hmmmm, reading about 2 Hot Male Rockers...Oh Yea, I’m definitely UP for that!!! ;) I have to read Rylan & Gage’s Story, the Blurbs were just Teasers, I need to read More!!! I REALLY Love your Inspirational Photo of Rylan & Gage on the right side of your web page, WoooHooo, that's a HOT Picture. Mmmmm you can just see the Lust for each other in their eyes....& I’m definitely getting “Outfoxed”, which I also LOVED your Cover Art, Very Sensual & Eye-Catching, did Zathyn Priest do the artwork for you? It's Beautiful!

Again, Happy Birthday K-Lee & Take Care,
