Ali's Intuition has a release date. Yay!

I signed my contract for Ali's Intuition today, and yay! I have a release date.

September 20, 2013

It's just under a month after Unbreak My Heart's release on August 25 & just in time for GRL. I'm very happy about that.

"Matching spirit mates has always been as easy for fate as sinking an arrow in a heart-shaped target is for cupid--until a whirlwind named Ali steps up to the plate, & might be just the witch to break fate's stellar track record."

Going for Gold - Olympic anthology out August 31st

Just a quick post about a story I have coming out in the Going for Gold Olympic anthology. We got the cover today and the confirmed release date of Friday, August 31st from MLR Press. It was a whirlwind round of writing, edits and proofs in a very short period of time so I'm very happy to see it come out.

New Release - Theme of Hearts is out!

Theme of Hearts: Glitter Fox .5, my short sequel to Outfoxed, is out tonight - a little early, but hey, I'm not complaining. It stars two of my favourite rock stars, Gage and Rylan, and explores their relationship a little bit before the sequence of events in Outfoxed.

I'm hoping Theme of Hearts will give a little more insight into how they both think and react to each other, as well as being more than a little mushy and sexier than hell. (hopefully) I already have the next instalment half-way done so I'm hoping this one will encourage my readers to want to follow them a little longer. ☺

Blurb

Gage Galeano's career is soaring: he has his best friend, lover, and bandmate by his side and Glitter Fox is everything they always wanted their band to be. Their latest concert was a success, and Gage is so high on life he can almost forget it's his least favorite day of the year.

Almost.

But Gage's plans to forget the day exists are scrapped when he's enticed into a car by an usual word. Rylan Rivers knows that Gage hates the dual meaning of Valentine's Day, but he's determined to make this year's dreaded day memorable in a very sexy way.

Freaky Friday - more like just bits and pieces of stuff

It's always nice to start off a Friday with a good pair of legs and a package, right? So happy Friday. This will be my happy post, as opposed to yesterday's which wasn't necessarily an unhappy post but more of a meh-serious one.

Today in the world of K-lee you will find horrifying pics (of me) because they are nice memories I need right now, the beautiful band members of 30 Seconds to Mars, a video I love and the answer to yesterday's question - what song did this lyric come from: "look in my eyes... this is who I really am".

There will also be a new book release date, new cover (standard V-day cover for MLR unfortunately) and a hot new video just out today. So grab your coffee and settle back for a wild ride.

(Now seriously, you can ignore all that crap up there, it sounded good at the time but I will have those things down there - enjoy and comment at your will)

Okay since I know you're all dying—yes, dying—to know what lyric that is, I'm posting the video which is very cool if you haven't seen it before and yes, those legs and package up there ^^ are the same legs as in the video. This song is my go-to song for pacing and general anxiety and panic attacks, and if my family hears it being played on repeat, they automatically know K-lee's having a bad day. So here ya - it's long but fabulous. (and yes, it is a take-off of a very well-known movie)

PIMPING: blog give-away extravaganzas

There's some wonderful give-aways going on around the m/m net and I just wanted to give you a heads-up on a few that I'm participating in.  Since I have two releases within days of each other I'll be giving away a copy of each here on my blog as well as in the give-aways I'm mentioning. That being said, you'll have a few chances to win both releases and if you don't win, well, you know the drill. <--shameless author begging.

K-lee's update and pimpage post

January and February are two of the toughest months of the year for me. My depression seems to enjoy coming out to play during this time and last year these two fabulous months led to a few months in hospital.

Skip to this year - I'm nowhere near how I was as one year ago & I have some good things happening and going on. I just need to lie a little low, find some patience for myself and ask for and allow some extra support from my friends. I guess I'm needy right now, a state I do not enjoy being in. So if you'll all bear with me, I'd appreciate it.
End of update on the ickiness - on to the goodness.

"Finally Home" is finally out!

I had a message this afternoon from the lovely T.A. Chase who informed me that Finally Home was out a day early. I was so excited but at the same time nervous. It was so awesome seeing it on the webpage for people to actually buy - that was the exciting part. The nervous part - and I'm told this is common - was that a) no one would buy it and b) no one would like it. But for now I guess I'll just let myself revel in the excitement. :D

In other news, Christmas was good - tiring and over-stimulating for us hermits but good nonetheless. And today was an extra special day as well, since this evening I finished the first draft of my Private Dicks story. It's 15,000 words - right smack in the middle of the word count parameters for the sub call - and I really love my characters, Jade and Mason. Now it's onto the editing (my own), the beta-ing (someone else) and finally, submitting it so see if it makes the cut. :) Next up are two Valentine's stories.

Happy Holidays everyone. :)

And um... yeah, here's the link for Finally Home at MLR and at Amazon.

Author T.A. CHASE interview and give-away

I’m thrilled to have one of the first m/m authors I ever read on my blog today. I have a ton of T.A. Chase’s books in print and the rest in e-books, and in a round-about-way, she influenced my Christmas story because the cowboys in her Home series were the first I ever read. I had the pleasure of meeting T.A. at Gay Rom Lit in October and she is absolutely adorable, and sweet to boot. She’s here today to talk about her holiday story, writing and her prolific writing schedule.

Welcome! I’m so excited to have you here, T.A. squees a little

Ah…well thank you so much, K-Lee. It was marvelous to meet you in New Orleans, and I hope to meet you face-to-face again soon. I’m so thrilled you asked to interview me. Also, it makes me smile to hear my Cowboys were inspiration for your Cowboys. :)

I haz a cover! And I'm graduating from Mom school...

Well maybe a "happee" is a little over-zealous but I was a little on the excited side yesterday when my editor (who is fabulous by the way) sent me the cover for my Christmas story. I know it's the same cover everyone else will have for the Christmas series but just seeing it with my name, the story name and even the series name, brought a bit of a tear to my eye. (everyone already knows I'm a mush head right?)

Anyhow, I got to add it to GoodReads and to my author page and then I just sat and looked at it for a while. *snickers* I know I have my "Outfoxed" cover as well (thank you Zath) but this is the first cover that means I've accomplished something I set out to do. Did I mention that one of my goals - one of the only ones actually - that I set last time in the hospital was to get something published in 2011? Never thought it was actually happen but December 27 is definitely in 2011 so that totally counts. :)  I already have my YA story for 2012 so that's a good start, too. Hopefully more will follow but if not, I'll just be eternally grateful that "Finally Home" found a "home" with MLR.

FINALLY HOME - available December 27 at MLR Press

When his father's funeral brings Josiah Nelson back to his childhood home during the Christmas holidays, he's determined to sell the ranch and bury his past. But after his old friend, Wyatt Aames, rekindles a fire in Josiah's lonely soul, he realizes that home isn't the house you grew up in, it's where your heart belongs.

In other news, my youngest turns 19 tomorrow. Nineteen years ago today (a Thursday), I was saying there was no way in hell I was having a baby on Friday the 13th and that's exactly what I did. But he's been nothing but a joy to me so I guess it turned out okay. It's a little harsh when you realize your last baby is in his teens now and wonder what will become of the person you've been for 24 years - Mom. Guess I'll have to figure that out. :)

Thank yous, MLR Schedule and Remembrance Day

Thank you to those who commented on my post yesterday. I appreciate the support but still wonder if I'm worthy of such loveliness in my life. As I said, it's not a good time right now but I'm trying to keep my head above water. It also wasn't a good day for friendships as I hurt someone I care very deeply about. I haven't made any decisions but my thoughts revolve around shutting myself up in my "writing cave" as some people so aptly refer to their writing, and letting friendships slip to the wayside so as not to cause any more undue stress for the people I care about. I guess I'll just have to wait and see where my heart takes me next. I am a people person, someone who needs that contact and validation whether in RL or online, but the insecurity that's bogging me down is intense right now. Regardless of that, thank you again.

Now I will shamefully pimp my first published story - coming out December 27. I'm so proud to be associated with so many fabulous authors in this Christmas schedule. Thank you, karma, for that.

And on this 11th day of November, please take a moment to remember those who lost their lives so we could be free whether for Remembrance Day or Veteran's Day.

I'm going to be published...

Okay, not OMG Bacon! But OMG, I've been offered a contract for my Christmas story from MLR Press! The email came this morning at a time when it was really needed, when I was a little down in the dumps, and Oh Emm Gee, it put met through the roof. MLR is where some of my fave writers are - SJ Frost, Jet Mykles, James Buchanan - how intimidating is that? I'm going to try and act out of character for now and pretend it's not intimidating at all, pretend I'm not shaking with nerves of happiness and fear. I'm going to get on with my day and ignore the fact I have to sign a contract that I really know nothing about, write not 1 but 3 blurbs which were totally invented by the devil himself, decide on a them for the website that Zathyn Priest is helping me make (*squees*), and still have to finish my YA story for the Gay-Straight Alliance for Monday. Just gonna relax and chill and everything will be fine. *faints*

PS I'm also going to have to convince my beautiful Ivan to overlook his cowboy-phobia and read my boys. :P
