Aidan Turner Poem-Porn Post

So there's no actual porn here - just so you know. ;) But have a listen and look at these video clips from the Desperate Romantics series (BBC, 2009) starring Aidan Turner as Dante Gabriel Rossetti.

I was actually searching around for some clips of Aidan doing interviews so I could find some of his speech patterns and words that he used (whispers *for my RPS series) and came across these.

To be perfectly honest, I like poetry, and I like this era of poetry as well as stuff like Poe and even some Shakespeare. There's just something about the language that tweaks my brain and makes it calm. Watching these clips did just that except... as pretty as the words are, seeing Aidan recite them and stare longingly into the camera kind of took the calm away and replaced it with OMFG sensual sexiness.

Tattoo Tuesday - Vinnie Woolston

Vinnie Woolston - from New Zealand, 6 feet tall, brown hair, blue/green eyes. That's about all I've found information-wise on this stunner but the pics just speak for themselves. I found a lot of black and white shots and you have to agree, he's stunningly beautiful and totally rockstar-inspirational for me.

Sexy Saturday - Fabulous Hair (slight NSFW)

I'm not afraid to admit I'm a total throw-back from the 80's. I love the hair metal bands - Bon Jovi, Poison, Extreme, Skid Row - wow, there are just too many to name. Love straight flowing hair or curly-than-curly masses to sink your fingers in. I had the 80's hair too and I'm not ashamed I'd go back to it in a minute.  Anyhow, you put two smoking hot guys side-by-side, both with great looks, great bods but one with long hair and one short - I'll look at the long-hair first every time. I think it's still that rock star lover in me coming out to play.

This post may not be too NSFW - unfortunately these lovely-locked boys have clothes on but I posted a treat at the end so to speak (lol, pun intended) that has nothing to do with long hair at all. Enjoy.

First - I was very excited this morning to find some pics that are dead-on of what I imagine Nicu (my gypsy in Lucius' Bite) to look like. A lot of people don't write from an inspirational pic but I find it really helps me to put that dude up on my desktop and look at him (them) once and a while.

Just Kiss Me

I'm totally supposed to be doing research - shifters, werewolves, gypsies, lore, spirit guides, but instead I've been looking at pretty pictures of men kissing. I blame Kari Gregg who posted something about beautiful kisses on Twitter this morning. Yep - give her a poke when you see her because it's all her fault.

Not all of these are kisses, some are just special moments that struck me as intimate (whether stages or not is not my concern for this post). So enjoy. (PS I always set out to only post a couple pics then my OCD takes over and BAM, huge post again - *hangs head*)

Half-full or Half-empty?

Half-empty? Half-full?

Everyone has a different opinion or perspective on this age old question of negativity vs positivity. I'll be the first to admit that I'm the Half-Empty type but over the past few years with all the struggles I've gone through and the thinking - forced and otherwise - I've done, I'm trying harder to let my mind swing a little when it comes to viewing this glass.


Maybe it's my disorder or my depression or just simply who I am but the positives of situations don't come nearly as easy for me as the negatives. I'm emotional all the time and on those bad days when everything I see, touch, hear makes me cry, (like today) I curse those emotions and wish I could just box them up and send them away, and in some ways I have. 

Wednesday inspiration

The shock and awwww twins are completely stupefied over the fact that I actually updated part of my website - only one page but updated nonetheless.

I managed to add some new books to my Books page and after several (meaning lots) of formatting issues, I now have all my upcoming releases listed. Next up will be updating my WIPs and maybe doing some actual updates posts on there. But whoa - can't get ahead of myself.

Character inspiration...

I know this blog has been pretty depressing lately so I'm going to ignore this damn cold and the fact I'm cancelling the rest of my trip and try to spruce it up a little with some purttty and at the same time pimp some of the characters I'm writing right now. I found this fabulous website with not only interesting articles but the most beautiful pics of men and not even naked men, mostly facial close-ups that are just stunning.

Inspirational pic for a YA story

I've been brainstorming about a YA m/m romance that I'd like to write based on this pretty picture. Isn't it sort of serene and beautiful? The only problem, besides all the WIPs I already have on the go, is that YA is a totally different ballgame so to speak. I'll have to watch the language and the sexual content but that's jut a different challenge, right?

Anyhow, I'm going to give it a go so now I need to start my wheels turning. Usually I have a name for my characters right away but none have hit me yet. Do any of you look at the picture and have names that just jump out at you? If so, definitely throw them out there for me to consider.

Inspiration

This is the pretty picture that my "letter-writer" chose and in turn, I chose to write about.  Pretty good inspiration, right?  Especially for a self-proclaimed rock star groupie.  I'm really hoping to finish it today so I can send it off to be beta-ed. *crosses fingers*  It's going to be nerve-wracking taking the final step and sending it to the mod at the group, but I'm determined to get past that anxiety and just do it. :P

Eventually my posts will get more personal but I'm working up to that.
