A personal tribute to William Neale
Have you ever met someone who made you feel at ease in a matter of moments when all you'd been feeling before was fear and trepidation? Someone with a soft, caring voice that snuck under your skin and made you not flee a nervous situation and run back to your room? William Neale was that person to me at GRL. He was the first person to welcome me to the MLR family and the first to actually look me in the eye and say "didn't I hear that you have a book coming out?"

Tattoo Tuesday - Tommy Lee - Rocker edition (NSFW)
Alas my Tattoo Tuesday has now gone the way of the rocker, just like everything else in my blog. But hopefully only for today.
Thomas Lee Bass, AKA Tommy Lee, born October 3, 1962 in Athens, Greece - he's rude, crude and lude, and makes absolutely no apologies for it. He's also hot, cute, sweet and has his hands in several different charities. I loved him on Rock Star Supernova and had some definite slashy thoughts about him and Gilby Clark (GnR), and hey, they picked an awesome Canadian boy as the winner, so what's not to love. I won't talk about his choices in women, although one of them was Canadian, too. I've loved that we have the same middle name and if I married him I'd be K-lee Lee - I could live with that, but probably not so much with the rude, crude and lude part, lol. Anyhow, enjoy some vintage (and mostly naked) Tommy Lee.

Music Monday - Anberlin
Anberlin - a Florida-based rock band with a little harder edge to some of their songs. I saw them in concert during The Next Best Thing and they put on an awesome show. Not sure what else to say except I like them. Enjoy.

Suit-Up Sunday - Hut! Hut! Hike!
Happy Sunday!
Our suits for today involve, yeah, you guessed it - football. I know I'm a little late for the season but since I'm Canadian, I have a good excuse.
PS Saw Safe House last night - fab performances by Denzel Washington & Ryan Reynolds. Roller coaster of a movie had me unsure how I actually wanted it to end - very unusual for me. I recommend it if you don't mind some violence & a slash-worthy enemy-mance.

Thinking Thursday - Radical Acceptance
I signed up for Gay Rom Lit in October and while I was doing it I was so excited. I swear I was one of the first five to sign up. Also, made the registration for the fabulous hotel in Albuquerque with my lovely roommate. All was good last night.
I'm going as an author, instead of a reader like last year, which means I have to think of some swag to bring and I get to have a table for book signing - which means I have to actually have written some books to sign (there will be more on that at a later date - but it's promising at least). I signed up for a Q & A which I thought was ridiculous since there will be no one who will even know me as a writer, let alone ask me questions. My wonderful friend, William Neale, convinced me to do that one though. He said others would like to ask me what it feels like to start being published and have other newbie questions so I went for it. My MLR editor, Kris Jacen, will be running the Q & A so that's a familiar face at least.
